Volunteer Appreciation Week

Circle of Sisterhood Foundation would not be what it is today without the dedication and support of its volunteers. Women across the country continue to give up their time and resources to the Foundation, and we are so grateful for all that they do.

Last week, in honor of Volunteer Appreciation Week, we asked our amazing volunteer sisters to share why they volunteer for the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation. We were overwhelmed by the heartfelt responses, and want to share some of them with our readers.

I volunteer for Circle of Sisterhood because I am a sorority woman who believes in equal education. I believe in access to education and how it changes our world. Circle of sisterhood provides the possibility to a better world.   – Brandi Arnold

I volunteer for Circle of Sisterhood because I believe in the word sisterhood & the power that it has; the power to grant equal education; the power to bring strangers together to work towards a common vision; and the power to create change. CofS combines all of these powers that sisterhood offers and with that changes the world. – Kelsey Rock

 I volunteer for Circle of Sisterhood because every woman deserves the education that I received, and because I believe in the power of women. When you educate a woman you are not only teaching her, but her children, and in turn their children. I believe that women are the key to ending poverty.  – Angela Paolucci

I volunteer for the Circle of Sisterhood because I believe access to education should be a right, not a privilege. As a woman who has had the freedom and opportunity to pursue an education, I hope to leverage the power that comes with that privilege in order to provide similar opportunities for women worldwide. I also believe deeply that sorority women are among the most powerful groups in the world, and the Circle of Sisterhood provides an excellent way for all of us to come together – regardless of affiliation – to make the world a better and more just place.  – Julie Kirk

I volunteer for Circle of Sisterhood because as a woman that is privileged to have had access to education, I believe that it is my responsibility to ensure that other women have that same opportunity.   – Jennifer Pierce
