why give?

Right now, we have sisters worldwide in need of our help. The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation is removing educational barriers and providing opportunities for girls and women, uplifting them from poverty and oppression. The generosity of sorority women and their friends makes our work possible and demonstrates the true power of a sisterhood. Please support us today. We are one world and one sisterhood.

As with any young organization, our immediate need is your financial support. There are several ways to give.

The IRA charitable rollover provision was renewed by congress in 2010. Certain distributions of up to $100,000 to the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation in 2011 by individuals age 70½ or older from their traditional individual retirement accounts (IRAs) or Roth IRAs are excluded from gross income. These distributions would otherwise be counted as income. The charitable rollover counts toward the IRA owner's required minimum distribution for the year.
